Vintage 60s Mod Era Mens Suit w Blue Pinstripe Size M / L

This is a wonderful 60s mod era men’s suit made in a navy blue wool fabric with light blue pinstriping - the wool is spun in what I think is a worsted serge finish (see view the photos).  The jacket has padded shoulders, wide lapels, a two button closure and is fitted at the waist.  The sleeves have two buttons at the cuff.  There is a diagonally angled flapped pocket at either side and a pocket at the left chest.  The jacket has a single vent at the back that measures 12 3/4”.  It is lined in an eye-popping red lining that is printed with an abstract pattern.  It has two interior pockets that are lined in a printed grey fabric.  The pants have a flat front (no pleats) and a leg that flares to the bottom with no cuff. 

Age: mid 1960s

Label: None, but obviously custom tailored

Sizing: No size is indicated, but this should fit a medium to large size, maybe a modern size 42, but might be more comfortable on a size 40 - please rely on the following measurements for fit, taken from the exterior (please take the thickness of the fabric and the cut of the garment into consideration):

Jacket:

Shoulders: 18 1/2” across shoulder seam-to-seam 

Sleeves: 25 1/2” from shoulder seam

Sleeve Inseam: 17 1/4” long

Chest: 44” around, taken under the arms

Waist: 41”, around

Overall length: 30 1/2"

Pants:

Waist:  36” - there is a bit of fabric at the back that could be let out

Length:  40”

Leg Inseam:  29”

Condition: This suit is in excellent condition with no wear, tear, stains or odours.  It is very crisp and clean looks like it saw little use and was well stored over the years.  

This is a wonderful mod era suit - great fit, quality fabric, striking pinstripe......hard to find suits like this!
