Vintage 1920s Beaded Dress Gold Beading on Teal Velvet Sz M

This is a fabulous authentic vintage 1920s beaded dress.  This 1920s beaded dress is made with gold and clear beading on a teal blue-green silk velvet base.  The beads are arranged in circular shapes front and back, above the waist and at the bottom.  The beads are made of excellent quality bugle shaped glass.  The dress is sleeveless, has a bateau neckline and has a matching beaded belt at the dropped waistline.  It is sleeveless and made in an above the ankle length, depending on your height.  This 1920s beaded dress has no closures and simply goes over the head.  It is unlined.

Sizing: No size is indicated, but this 1920s beaded dress should fit a medium size - please rely on the following exterior measurements for fit, taking the style of the dress and the fact that it goes over the head into account:

Shoulders: 16 1/2” across the top

Bust:  43” around, taken under the arms, but should be somewhat loose

Waist:  38” around

Hips:  40” around - open at the right side

Overall length:  47”, measured flat 

Condition: This 1920s beaded dress is in very good condition with a only a few minor issues.  There is slight staining to the interior at the armpits, but this is not really noticeable from the exterior (see last close-up photo).  There are two small areas near the neckline with loose or missing beads (see close-up photos).  Finally, it appears that the skirt may have been taken up at the waist, but this doesn’t affect the appearance of the dress in any way.

This is a beautiful example of a 1920s beaded dress.  Fabulous sparkle that is sure to be noticed.....
