Vintage 1950s Gabardine Western Shirt Square Dance Designs M

This is a fabulous vintage 1950s gabardine western shirt made with embroidered decoration and piping.  The yoke has floral designs on the front and the collar also has an embroidered design.  This vintage 1950s gabardine western shirt has a straight collar with button loop closure, a piped slant pocket at either side of the chest, and closes with five pearlescent snaps down the front as well as the button loop at the neck - the cuffs close with five snaps. 

Colour:  Slightly mauve toned grey with deep violet purple - the embroidery is in tones of red, yellow, teal green and white

Label:  Square Dance Designs Reg’d Created in Canada

Fabric:  Gabardine - excellent weight and fall, possibly made from wool or rayon or a blend of the two.

Sizing: Size M for medium is indicated, but please rely on the following measurements for fit of this vintage 1950s gabardine western shirt:

Neck:  15 1/2”

Shoulders:  17 1/2” across from seam to seam

Sleeves:  33 3/4” from the mid-neck, 25” long from shoulder seam

Sleeve inseam:  21” 

Chest: 46” around, taken under the arms

Waist:  44”

Length: 28” taken at the back from the neck seam

Condition: This vintage 1950s gabardine western shirt is in very good condition with no wear, tear, staining or odour, just a small area where the lower left side seam is unstitched (see last close-up photo).
