Art Deco Dressing Gown 1930s 40s Robe Cold Rayon Mens M L
$175.00
Brand Poppy's Vintage Clothing
This is a wonderful men’s art deco dressing gown or lounging robe made of cold rayon. Earlier rayon of this type is referred to as “cold” rayon due to its cool feel. It is different from more modern rayon due to the way that the wood cellulose was processed to make the cloth and was originally marketed as “artificial silk”. The motif for the pattern on this art deco dressing gown looks like an initial A within a diamond - geometric in conception, definitely influenced by art deco design. The motif is in tones of red, light blue and dropped out white while the background is a darker blue. This art deco dressing gown has a shawl collar, turned cuffs, a chest pocket and patch pocket at either side. It cinches closed with a matching sash belt.
