Vintage Mens Ungaro Paris Overcoat Tweed Wool Cashmere Coat Made in italy Sz 42

This is a vintage Ungaro overcoat made in a woven tweed wool and cashmere blend.  The coat probably dates to the late 1970s or early 1980s, given its design elements.  The coat has wide shoulders with padding, medium width notched lapels, a three button front closure, a slash pocket at either side and it cinches at the waist with a matching belt.  It is made in a full length and has a 24” kick vent at its back.  Although not a trench coat, it appears to take some inspiration from the trench.  It is fully lined in grey viscose rayon.

Fabric:  70% wool and 30% cashmere

Sizing: Size 42 regular is indicated and although this should fit a large size, please note the following measurements for fit, taking the oversized cut of the garment into account:

Shoulders:  22” across from the shoulder/sleeve seam to the shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeves:  25 1/2” long from the shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeve inseam:  17 1/2”

Chest: 47” around, taken under the arms

Waist:  44”, uncinched

Hips:  47” around

Length:  50”

Condition:  This coat is in very good condition with no wear, tear, stains or odors, but is missing the top button, easy to replace and not absolutely needed when belt is in place.  Otherwise, it looks like it was well cared for over the years. 

This is a quality coat, designed by a Paris fashion house - just needs a button and you’ll have a very stylish coat!
