Vintage 1940s Mens Overcoat Swagger Style Mens Wool Coat L

This is a wonderful vintage 1940s mens overcoat made in a swagger styled light blue wool. This vintage 1940s mens overcoat has padded squared shoulders, wide notched lapels and closes only by overlapping and securing with the matching sash belt. There is a diagonal pocket at either side and the sleeves have turned cuffs with a single decorative button. The exterior is made of a lighter weight twill wool in a grey and blue mixed weave. This vintage 1940s mens overcoat has a 17” button-down centre kick vent and is half lined in a grey fabric.

Sizing: There is no size tag but this vintage 1940s mens overcoat should fit a large to maybe an extra-large size, probably about a US size 44-46, depending on if you want to wear a suit jacket underneath. Please note the following measurements for fit:
Shoulders: 19” from shoulder seam to shoulder seam
Sleeves: 25” from the shoulder seam
Sleeve Inseam: 17 3/4”
Chest: 54” around, taken under the arms - 27” across pit-to-pit
Waist: 52” around
Length: 46”, measured flat at the back from the neck seam
Condition: This vintage 1940s mens overcoat is in very good condition, but has some slight yellowing/colour variation, nothing pronounced and rather acceptable for a coat of its age. There is a slight smell of cigarette smoke, but I will continue to air the coat to try to eliminate it. A dry cleaning probably would eliminate the odour and most likely help with the yellowing. In any case, the coat still presents itself very well, surprising for its age, with no pronounced wear, tear, soiling or staining.
