Brand Poppy's Vintage Clothing
This is a vintage 1950s wool dressing gown made in an attractive maroon and green toned plaid. This vintage 1950s wool dressing gown has solid maroon shawl lapels and cuffs, and pockets at either side and at the left chest, all trimmed in maroon, white, and navy candy cane striped roping. It closes with a maroon roped belt that is a replacement but works perfectly. It is unlined.
Label: “Onkaparinga” on the neck loop. Onkaparinga is an Australian wool factory founded in 1869. Glenburnie Gowns Pure Wool is found on the interior opening - note that the wool is somewhat “itchy”, so the robe should be worn over pyjamas. Glenburnie is recognized as a company under the Onkaparinga umbrella.
